Curtis Shirey

Curtis, a native of California, was raised in the Bay Area by parents dedicated to public education before relocating to Sacramento. The impact of the 2008 Great Recession, which hit Sacramento particularly hard, left an indelible mark on Curtis as he witnessed the devastating loss of homes and investments within his community. These formative experiences fueled his passion for financial stewardship and ultimately shaped his career trajectory.

While attending Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Curtis pursued a dual undergraduate curriculum while excelling in both football and track & field. His collegiate journey culminated in the attainment of two bachelor’s degrees, numerous varsity accolades, and recognition as Lewis & Clark’s distinguished “Dan Jones Athlete of the Year.”

Following graduation, Curtis embarked on a career in financial advisory with a keen focus on serving educators and other professionals in the wake of the recession’s impact. His dedication to the goal of protecting clients from financial upheaval stems from his personal experiences and values deeply ingrained by his upbringing.

Curtis’s dedication to inclusivity and community service shines through his active involvement with the Rotary Club of Portland. Elected as the incoming President for the 2024-2025 term, he has a proven track record of leadership within the organization. He notably co-chaired the successful Enterprise Academy, cultivating ethical leadership and decision-making skills among local youth. Additionally, Curtis has previously served as Co-chair of the Under 40 Committee, championing the club’s ethos of "Service Above Self."

Recognizing the importance of holistic financial planning, Curtis has continuously expanded his knowledge, earning both the CFP® certification and the CRPS™ credential. As the founder of Aspasia Wealth Management, he remains steadfast in his mission to guide clients through every facet of their financial journey, striving to ensure their long-term prosperity and independence. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Curtis dedicates his time to pro bono work with underprivileged communities through the CFP® Board and provides mentorship to local high school athletes. His multifaceted background and unwavering dedication underscore his commitment to serving those often overlooked and empowering individuals to pursue their financial goals.
